Kids Can Cook! is a series of four weekly classes as detailed below. We offer multiple menus, so kids can repeat the series and and enjoy completely new recipes each time.
Week 1: I Can Learn to Cook!
Kids can learn to cook too! In this first class, kids will learn to use a knife safely and effectively, and get lots of practice chopping a rainbow of fruits and veggies. They will also learn about following recipes, measuring, seasoning and more as they make an array of homemade dips to make healthy eating more fun!
Week 2: I Can Make Breakfast!
Start the day off right with a healthy breakfast! We will make some simple, fun and delicious breakfast foods with lots of lean protein, whole grains, fruits and veggies—no sugar added. Techniques we will learn and practice include basic egg cookery, pan frying, working with avocados, smoothies and more!
Week 3: I Can Make Lunch!
Forget the PB&J and make lunch interesting! Kids will make a couple of wholesome and delicious lunch classics while learning and practicing culinary skills like chopping and sauteing veggies, making soup, pan frying, seasoning and more!
Week 4: I Can Make Dinner!
Dinner time is family time! With some basic techniques under their belts, including marinating and baking or grilling chicken, making and finishing pasta or grains, roasting veggies and making sauces, kids will be able to join the fun in the kitchen (and maybe even make dinner for the family!)

Week 1
Menu 1: vegetables with homemade ranch dip, fruit with homemade vanilla dip, bread with dipping oil
Menu 2: vegetables and homemade snack chips with white bean hummus, fruit with peanut butter fluff dip
Week 2
Menu 1: homemade sausage, avocado toast, scrambled eggs, sunshine berry smoothie
Menu 2: mini frittatas with cauliflower and bacon, ricotta toast with strawberries, mango smoothie
Week 3
Menu 1: homemade tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, harvest quinoa salad
Menu 2: black bean soup, cheese quesadillas, guacamole
Week 4
Menu 1: baked Italian chicken, pasta aglio e olio, roasted broccoli with cheese sauce
Menu 2: roasted pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, sauteed seasonal veggie
